CIDLAB is the Cognition and Individual Differences Lab of the Department of Cognitive Sciences at the University of California, Irvine.
CIDLAB is a new research unit, focusing on the integration of formal models of human cognition and behavior with statistical methods for individual differences and psychodiagnostics.
This website currently exists for the dissemination of software and other publications. Until more details about the lab research become available, interesting developments are shown as blurbs in the news section.
Inquiries regarding graduate and undergraduate research should be sent directly to Joachim. Note that for graduate research, strong quantitative and technical skills (good knowledge of statistics, linear algebra, possibly stochastic calculus or numerical methods, programming in C++, MATLAB, or similar) are essential. A background in psychology or cognitive science is helpful but not required.
