COURSE OBJECTIVES:
PSY 10. Cognition and Perception: Applied Aspects (4 units).
The goal of this lower-division course is to provide an introduction to cognitive and perceptual psychology through an examination of real-world issues that are relevant to empirical psychology research. The manner in which basic research ultimately applies in our everyday lives is illustrated through consideration of specific issues from several psychological content areas. The goal is to guide students to an appreciation of psychological science as both a theory driven and practically oriented discipline.
